Rooi Els, Western Cape

Nestled in the pristine village of Rooiels, this contemporary residence is a rare opportunity to live in harmony with one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth. Elevated against the slopes of the Klein Hangklip mountain, the home acts as a sophisticated lens through which to experience the rugged beauty of the Kogelberg Biosphere.
A Life in Balance
Mornings here are defined by the scent of wild fynbos and the sight of whales breaching in the bay below. The architectural design honors this setting with clean, minimalist lines that never compete with the view. The open-plan living area and gourmet kitchen serve as the home's social hub, leading your eye naturally toward the horizon.
The Ultimate Retreat
• The Sunset Ritual: The wet bar, strategically placed under an expansive picture window, transforms every evening into a private gallery showing of the Atlantic’s famous sunsets.
• Work & Wellness: Transition from your morning workout in the home gym to a productive afternoon in the office/pyjama lounge—all without losing sight of the ocean.
• Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Flow: Whether you are hosting a summer lunch on the spacious lower deck or enjoying a quiet coffee on the upper balcony, the transition between the home’s interior and the mountain air is effortless.
