Scarborough, Western Cape

This 4 bedroom timber home is set on the highest street on the mountainside in Scarborough. Hill Top Street boasts some of the most exclusive properties in the suburb, and opportunities to purchase property there are few and far between. The home features en-suite bathrooms for two of the four bedrooms, a walk-in closet for the master bedroom, as well as an office/study for those who prefer to work from home.

Scarborough can be cold in the Winter, so the entire upper floor of this home has been clad with boucle carpeting, in addition to a wood-burning fireplace on the bottom floor to stave off the Winter chill. The kitchen has been designed with wood and granite tops and includes a Smeg oven and gas stove. Massive windows and sliding doors span the length of the whole ground floor, letting in light and opening up views of the ocean from any every part of lounge and dining area. Each of these windows (including all those on the upper floor too) come with wooden shutters to moderate the lighting and privacy.

On the upper floor there is one laundry room and ample shelves across the passageway. While down the steps to the street, the home also has two garages and a storage room.
